We got a new Pool up, When will Artie Lange leave the Howard Stern Show. There is mass speculation at the moment if Artie will last till January, some thinks he will be gone when the show comes back after vacation. What do you think?

I don’t blame Artie, I do listen to Stern but the show has become horrible in recent years. Stern is too old and he is no longer interesting, on top of that he is a complete hypocrite and thinks he is never wrong, and that the world revolves around him.
Nobody ever dares point out that Stern is wrong about something, or does something wrong, because as we have seen, Stern can’t take any kind of criticism and he cries about it.
Stern is too old, he is out of touch, he repeats the same things over and over again, his show is stale, he hasn’t had any good guests in months, and Artie is really the only funny person on the show.

Aw come on, the show is better than ever since coming to Sirius. The new found freedom and the new techologies have enabled the show to find its funny bone again. Artie is funny, but he didn’t make Stern what he is. Richard/Sal offer as much funny material if not more than Artie. Artie is a great talent and a perfect fit on the show… but you cant blame stern for any of Artie’s problems.
We love Artie, hence why the site was created, but I wont blame anyone but Artie and Im sure he would say the same.

Artie is turning 40 this year (mid life crisis), he has major self esteem issue because of his weight and general appearance, Dana and he broke up etc…
He’s been in a deep depression for months if not the past two years and is at a the biggest crossroads of his life. He has a lot of decisions to make and each has major life changing consequences which makes addressing them that much more frightening.
He’s also at a point in his age and career where he feels he doesn’t want to just sit there and take Howard’s bullshit. He’s standing up to Howard unlike Gary and others who always back off in fear of pissing Howard off and getting on his shit list. Artie doesn’t want to be a wack-packer or the butt of every fat and loser joke.
Howard is the master manipulator, he can spin any situation into making the other person wrong. He’s done it his whole career with everyone from his ex-wife, to guests, strippers, the entire staff etc…
It’s his way or the highway, and I’m surprised Artie has lasted this long in this environment with the level of depression he’s been going through.

Artie was really starting to bust out into the mainstream, I think he is going to leave and I do think the Howard Stern Show will go on to be Artie’s best work. Artie is not a lead guy he is a very very very funny 2nd hand, side kick kind of guy. It sucks to see him go but, I think something just clicked and Artie feels like he has bigger fish to fry and wants a new fresh beginning at any rate, Howard is a smart guy and has a lot of money and will find some new young talented comic to join the gang. I cant wait to see what happens but regardless I am and will still listen to Howard and Robyn. Thank bye

Artie wont leave the show this year. Over this weeks break, he’ll be counting the dough that the show brings in for him and realizing that the demand for him in Hollywood in the shape he is currently in is not that great. Funny though he may be……he looks like crap right now.
I like the guy. He’s a great asset to the show.
Figure it out Art. Your daily job beats all of our hands down.

Artie will not return from the break. The two egos of Stern and Lange can no longer co-exist. The pot boiled finally boiled-over on that last show.
Artie has become the big, fat, lazy, blue-collar, whiny, asshole he always wanted to be. This image was unfortunately reinforced over the years by Howard & crew, and it has finally reached its maximum shelf life.
Meanwhile, Howard’s obvious annoyance with Lardie Lange has morphed him into an angry, old bitch. Has anyone else noticed that Howard now spends more time on the topics that Artie hates (ie Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, Gossip Game, etc)??
It’s annoying and boring listening to Artie call every male a “fag” and every female a “cunt.” It’s not funny anymore. Sure he’s got a fan following – made-up of addict losers and low-self-esteem women. They all have one thing in common: they want to hang with Artie. That’s it. they all think they have a chance to hang-out with a “famous” fat, lazy, loser thats ‘just like them.’ To them I say this: Fat chance!
And to you, Artie: Dont go away mad, just go away fat.

I just went through the same thing this year, except I lost 35 lbs over four months, not good.
Taking stock in your life, second thinking career, woulda, shoulda coulda’s, he’s an athletic guy that has ballooned up in weight so his self image is bad, making alot of money so afraid to change career drastically etc…
He’ll be back after the vacation but may leave simply because he doesn’t want to become the butt of ridicule over his weight, drug use, girls etc..
He likes to dish it out but taking it seams to be a problem.

Artie is the shit, if he leaves the show will take a big hit. I believe the show will go on of course but it might take some time for it to get back in the full swing of things like it is now. Artie get your head straight! I know it’s easier said then done but i’ve seen some close friends fuck up to but they are ok now and going strong. Whatever Artie does I wish him the best.

Artie is, unfortunately, going to pass before he has chooses to leavet he show. The show is your bread and butter. Stop the stand-up Artie. I know you can’t pass up the money, but getting into a routine is more important to your life then the money. IF. Artie is funny. WAY funnier then sal & Richard. (Not that their not funny, but I don’t think the gay stuff is that funny.)
Personally I think that Howard knows that Artie is the funniest guy on the show. Howard doesn’t want to fire him, for that reason.
Howard is getting a little out of touch, but he DID create the gendre, so you gutta give him a little slack.
Artie SO wants to leave, but Howard won’t fire him. So we continue at a stalemate.
Tough to say when the baby gorrilla will leave, but I will say by June 2008.
I think that Howard wants to pass the torch to Artie, and ride off into retirement. Thats why theyre off each friday, and take so many vacations.
Getting back to Sal & Richard, Richard is way funnier then Sal, but the two are joined, by Howard. Sal wouldn’t go on and on about his personal life if he had anything funny to say.
